9points. Aug 22, 2013 12:04 PM in response to Klghanson. My husband had this problem on his iPad and I solved it by going into Settings, then Mail, Contacts,Calendars. Under Accounts I chose the email account which was losing mail and in the next box that came up, I changed 'mail days to sync' from 3, to no limit. His missing e mails reappeared. Heres how. Within Gmail, in the top-right corner of the screen, select Settings (gear icon). From the drop-down list, choose See all settings . If the Inbox tab isn't already displayed, select Inbox . In the Inbox type section, select Unread first from the drop-down menu. In the Inbox sections section, make your selections using the drop-down TapAccount settings. Tap the account you want to configure. Tap More Settings. Tap Incoming settings. Scroll to the bottom and look for Delete email from server. Tap the drop-down and select When Clickon Outlook Express at the top of the folder tree so no folders are open. Then: File | Work Offline (or double click Working Online in the Status Bar). File | Folder | Compact all folders. Don't touch anything until the compacting is completed. Turn off e-mail scanning in your anti-virus program. Sortedby: 6. Click the "gear" icon on the right of Gmail screen and choose "Configure Inbox". Uncheck "Updates" and any other tabs / categories you do not need. NEW: Click the gear icon and click on "See All Settings". Select "Inbox". Uncheck "Updates". Scroll down and click on "Save". Toreset an app's data, open the Settings app from your Start menu. Head to System > Apps & Features. Locate the app you want to reset in the list of installed apps and click or tap it. Click the "Advanced Options" link under the application's name.
